Waitress Plate Lift & Carry
Hi, this week we are going to look at specifically how we’ve been strengthening a waitress with a lower back injury to carry plates around a busy restaurant.
So to replicate this task, we’re performing a bilateral bicep curl with five kilos being held in each arm. We are moving through repetitions before incorporating a static hold and carry with the elbows flexed at 90 degrees.
Key points:
-activate the glutes
-activate the core to stabilise the upper body
-build muscle endurance through the upper limbs.
That endurance is really what’s going to allow this task to be performed repetitively through each day.
