Program FAQ
What is it?
ReCharge is an 8 session wellness and exercise based program focused on improving your physical strength, fitness, health and wellbeing.
Whilst you’ll receive guidance and education on all aspects of the 4 pillars of health, being Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness and Sleep, you’ll also receive 4 one-on-one, 60min exercise sessions aimed at helping you to implement an exercise regime that’s tailored specifically to you and your needs.
What Type of Exercise is Involved?
That’s completely up to you. ReCharge is about introducing new healthy routines and building the foundations for new habits so we encourage you to choose a style of exercise that you will enjoy and therefore have the most likelihood of sticking to. Examples might be swimming, cycling, weight training or playing soccer. Our Exercise Physiologist will create a program that tailors to your choice and where possible will participate with you to get you underway.
What do the 4 education sessions cover?
As per the ReConnect™ program, the Exercise Physiologist will spend each of the 4 sessions on one of the following topics which we call the “4 Pillars of Health” being Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, Sleep. Your Exercise Physiologist will have a set curriculum to take you through, however, you are free to choose your own adventure and cover as much or as little as you’d like on each of the topics.
What is an Exercise Physiologist?
An Exercise Physiologist assesses, plans and implements rehabilitation programs for chronic injuries and illness such as mental health, musculoskeletal injuries, fatigue conditions, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer and arthritis. EPs assist in restoring optimal physical function, health and wellness. EPs must obtain a science-based undergraduate degree before obtaining a postgraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and then completing over 500 clinical hours for experience
